| About | Geelong Gaol Museum is one of Australia's most intact 19th Century convict prisons. It showcases the history of the Gaol, which has overlooked the township of Geelong for more than 150 years, and the people who spent time behind the walls. Visitors can experience the brutal conditions prisoners endured over its 138-year history, along with displays telling the detailed information of this three-story bluestone behemoth. It features exhibits on the Hulks, Colonial Prisons, Executions and Saga Behind the Armour, along with some prisoner stories who have spent time behind the bluestone walls.
