About	Old Dubbo Gaol is a historical museum showcasing the conditions and experiences of prisoners held within their beautiful heritage buildings all in the heart of Dubbo. Old Dubbo Gaol was established in 1847. A collection of gaol buildings from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries create a pocket of time, and the encounters within bring history to life. They visit the gaol grounds with a self-guided tour every day except Christmas and catch a theatrical performance. The gaol provides a variety of visiting opportunities both day and night and a special event atmosphere. It affords free admission for a child (under four years).
