AboutAustralian War Memorial is Australia's national Memorial located in Australia's capital, Canberra, in the suburb of Campbell. The Memorial consists of three parts the Commemorative Area, including the Hall of Memory with the Tomb of the Unknown Australian Soldier, the Memorial's galleries and Research Centre. It pays tributes to those who have died or participated in wars involving the Commonwealth of Australia and provide information about some conflicts involving personnel from the Australian colonies prior to the Federation. The Memorial gives one a realistic experience of the wars Australian soldiers, sailors and airmen have been involved in. Its mission is leading remembrance and understanding of Australia’s wartime experience. It has many interactive displays, scale models, real artefacts and plenty of information to explore. The Memorial also has an outdoor Sculpture Garden. Australian War Memorial offers a free admission option for entire visitors.
