About | Paluma Range is a national park situated between Ingham and Townsville in northern Queensland, Australia. The traditional name for the Paluma Range is Munan Gumburu, which implies ‘misty mountain’. The southern path to the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area consists of two parts. The north portion includes the Jourama Falls, a picturesque rainforest-framed waterfall. Paluma Range has Paluma Important Bird Area (IBA), it has many species and contains a significant population of vulnerable southern cassowary species. The park features a hiking trail with waterfalls and swimming holes. |
