| About | Kooragang Wetlands is an abundant Island located in Newcastle, NSW. It is a perfect place to see the restoration of fisheries, shorebird, frog and rainforest habitats. Visitors can explore the wide-open spaces along 15 km of boardwalks, cycleways and walking tracks. Since 1995 over 200,000 trees and shrubs have been planted. Kooragang Wetlands allows Hybrid and mountain bikes to explore the spot. You can bring your bicycle and some food and water to enjoy the serenity of the day. Volunteers took part to restore the native vegetation of the Hunter estuary. Kooragang Wetlands is accessible 24 hours. |
