About | Namadgi National Park is a protected area in the ACT. It covers 106,095 hectares, with 160 kilometres of marked walking tracks. It preserves part of the northern tip of the Australian Alps with its stunning granite mountains. The habitat ranges of the park from grasslands to snow gum forest to alpine meadows. The water catchment area of the park provides around 85 per cent of Canberra's water. The weather varies from cold winter nights to warm summer days in the sub-alpine area and can change quickly. The hiking in booroomba rocks from the honeysuckle campground is a place to discover the fantastic views. |
