| About | Dancenorth is one of the oldest and most recommended dance schools in Townsville, QLD. The academy is led by artistic director Kyle Page (2017 Sidney Myer Creative Fellow), executive director Hillary Coyne and associate artistic director Amber Haines. The academy is an integral part of the Australian dance ecology, contributing to the dance sector and building literacy around contemporary dance nationwide. Dancenorth hosted over 35 international arts festivals and venues around Australia & the world. The dance school empowers and supports artists by rendering a creative hub for many artistic voices, including a diverse range of choreographers, guest collaborators, dancers & artists in residence. They provide a suite of year-round dance classes, series and workshops that celebrate everybody dancing. Dancenorth conducts workshops, seminars, and events. |
