| About | St Anthony’s Parish is one of the famous churches in Tweed Heads. The church was established as a newly formed Parish in a small home for serving the local people with religious services. The first mass was celebrated in 1919, where Father Leo Hayes, a very well known Priest, visited the home for masses many times. As the population was growing, the home was transferred to a shelter shed in a public park. St Anthony’s Parish has meeting rooms for Parish groups to use, free of charge. The church baptism preparation meetings are held at 10 am on the 1st Sunday of every month. It provides a good feel and idea about how to lead a positive life and experience the church environment's beauty. St Anthony’s Parish also serves in Fingal, Chinderah, Kingscliff, Cudgen, Duranbah, and more. |
