About	St Matthew's Catholic Church is one of the famous Churches in Logan City. The church was established to serve the rapidly growing catholic and parish families in the community. The growth resulted in made the Parish Priest of Beenleigh meet with a local committee to develop further. After years of establishing the church, a primary school was opened in 1984, becoming the centre of catholic life. Their classrooms were also used as a mass centre to accommodate and serve the family-based community. As the years grew, the population growth also started increasing, which led to the church, the place of hospitality for the community people. St. Matthew’s Parish has got a youth group. It was formed on 19th June 2015. They organize events in the parish, involvement in Mass, outings, camping at spiritual areas, forming a youth band, sports games, praying the rosary, having guest speakers for the group, quizzes.
