About	St Andrew's Presbyterian Church Kirk is designed as a Gothic Revival style church building by William Henry Clayton. In 1831, a meeting was held among the local inhabitants to discuss constructing a place of worship for the local community families. In 1835, the church's construction was completed, but over the years, the city's population started overgrowing, and the church needed an expansion. So, the ministry acquired a neighbouring land; a plan was devised to expand the church to hold 700 people. St Andrew's Presbyterian Church design competition was held, and a total of 14 designs were submitted. Finally, a design was chosen, and the church was expanded as a simple Gothic-inspired church built with local bricks. In 1933, the present organ replaced the original organ that was installed in 1860. St Andrew's Presbyterian Church organ provides great acoustics for the choir and concerts.
