| About | St. Joseph's Catholic Church is one of the famous Churches in Hobart. It is the oldest Catholic church in the community. The first mass was celebrated on Christmas day, 1841. St. Joseph's Catholic Church was built using local sandstone, which James Thomson designed. For over the years, the church has served the community with seasonal and regular special masses. St. Joseph's Catholic Church's stained-glass windows have a catechetical role in preaching the community with faith and love. It also provides a safe and nurturing cultural preaching for all children. In 1981. a large cabinet was made to stand at the entry of the church. St. Joseph's Catholic church's bookstand holds historic features dating past 1841. |
