About	St Patrick's Catholic Parish Gosford is one of the famous Churches in the Central Coast. The Church was opened by the Sisters of St Joseph in 1910 to serve the Gosford and surrounding community. As the population grew, the church became bordered by busy roads and railway lines. By 1965, Fr Patrick McManus decided to purchase land at East Gosford to build the St. Patrick’s Church to serve over 600 congregants. The new church's construction funds were from the sold funds of the old church. In 1959, St Patrick’s School was opened at East Gosford by Sisters of St Joseph. After the final residents of St Joseph left the convent. St Patrick's Catholic Parish Gosford convent was then converted into both premises for their priests and office space, which is currently leased as commercial offices.
